Officer Insights
Local Officers
Serving as a local officer provides the opportunity to lead fellow members to success while learning and having fun in the process! As a local officer, you will engage your chapter in the "Program of Work" activities and complete the Chapter Excellence Program Application, enabling your chapter to receive the recognition it deserves. Local Officers are also responsible for running the local chapter meetings throughout the year.
District Officers
Serving as a district officer shows you are ready to take the next step toward a leadership role in serving the organizations initiatives. District Officers attend and lead the Fall Leadership Conference and State Championships, while working hard to ensure event success. District Officers are also responsible for running the district meetings in September and October.
State Officers
Serving as a State Officer takes commitment and dedication to the SkillsUSA Kansas Organization. State Officers are representatives of and the voice promoting student membership. They meet with the Legislators, Senators, and the Governor, as well as our Business & Industry Partners. As a team, they work together hosting our Kansas State Conferences and push our organization forward. State Officers are responsible for running Delegation meetings during the State Championship Conference.
